LACEY: On Sunday 10 January 2021, a pedestrian crossing Lacey Road was struck and hospitalized, police said. The accident took place on Lacey Road at the intersection of Penn. Debra Larsen (58) of Lacey, was making a left turn from Penn Avenue North onto Lacey Road when her Lincoln Town Car struck a 38-year-old Lacey woman. Police quoted the injured pedestrian as being 38 years old, while OCSN originally heard 39. The age is not as important as the female victim reported being 9 months pregnant when the story was originally published. Lacey PD was not able to confirm the status of the woman’s pregnancy at press time. The pedestrian was crossing Lacey Road near the intersection, just before 15:00. There was no mention of whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk, or any other details related to the incident. EMS transported the patient to a landing zone, where the pedestrian was flown via Medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. It was later determined that her injuries were non-life threatening.
